621 BNB saw the rise of the [[First Phyrean Empire]], expanding to modern-day southern Amrhyl and [[Hower]] from modern-day [[Blackstrath]] early in its existence, and further reaching the north and parts of what is now [[Asconia]] at the beginning of 620 BNB. A wealth of architecture, textiles and significant cultural artifacts can be recovered from this era, as long as texts inscribed in their majority in [[Elder Phyrean]].

In 113 BNB, semi-legendary king [[Piarfant a Hynfl|Pieromant of No-one]] founds the [[Berhyl Celton]] along the banks of the [[Amrhyl river|Amrhyl]] and [[Hower river|Hower]] rivers. Pieromant unified the various disperse Avannian city-states between these rivers, and expanded further north up to the [[Ascon river]] in southern [[Asconia]]. He instructed the newly-established noble caste to standardise and begin teaching written and spoken [[Elder Phyrean|Old Phyrean]] to the public, to mixed success, and instructed his scribes to begin writing a history of the Kingdom. This history would be later known as the [[Phyrean Codex]].

The First Phyrean Empire was annexed into the Berhyl Celton in 63 BNB. Around this time, Pieromant and the king of [[Kingdom of Krasnia|Krasnia]], [[Etsonborw Bëljsol]], begin exchanging letters, meeting and falling in love soon after. This would lead to them handfasting ten years later in 53 BNB. This union of love also represented the political union of both kingdoms, creating the [[Duumvirate of Phyrea and Krasnia]], beginning the Two Kingdoms period. Several cultural innovations date to this time, most important of which being the [[Phyro-Krasnian calendar]].

In the year 1022, on the 21st of Mawbguwnt, despotic and widely disliked king [[Argwydar VII]] was defenestrated by a mob originally formed outside his castle in protest. The following controversy and long-standing resentment towards the nobility from the southern regions led to the separation of the Phyrean Kingdom. The northern regions became the [[Kingdom of Amrhyl]], while the south became the [[Kingdom of Bluehand]].

Oppression from the [[Queendom of Secyl]] at the north was commonplace during its entire existence. At one point, the [[Kingdom of Amrhyl]] was subjugated enough to let the Queendom freely use the port of [[Levon]], the biggest in the country, and was almost annexed several times. This would end in 1204, when the heir of the Levonian throne [[Tyll Cwallgun]] unified Amrhyl and the Hearnish Kingdoms to form the [[Phyrean Federation]], defeating the Queendom in 1205. The subsequent wealth and power marked a period of flourishing for a distinct Phyrean identity, especially in Amrhyl, who now had Levon as its capital.
