Biochemistry is an often handwaved element of the Cradle of Songs, but nevertheless I find it fun to speculate and think about the ramifications of species that are biochemically different interacting. Colouring blood with other oxygen-carrying molecules is also pretty fun. Below is a table showing the differing biochemistries of the various forms of life present in CoS.
