This is a timeline of the history of space exploration, culture and discoveries. The dates given here are based on the Áonak calendar. Years here are recorded in the base-60 year system standardised after the discovery of the dess.

Old eon
0 PE
- Legendary first recorded solar eclipse. Beginning of the Áonak calendar.

Space eon
ko PE
- Elmian probe NAME and Julean probe NAME collide, leading to the first contact between the elmians and juleans and the beginning of the Space Eon.

Advanced eon
10Q PE
12s PE
- The Earth is found, though not contacted, through usage of the Dess as an intermediary to lightspeed travel. This coincides with Earth year 1954.
143 PE
- The Earth is hit by an asteroid half its size, ending all life on it. This coincides with Earth year 2008. This leads to a period of mourning for the SDO and plans to recover traces of organic material for a future greenhouse planet.

Early Noŋŋo eon
1R2 PE
- Early Panopea is found. Noŋŋo, still in its infancy, shows promise of becoming a greenhouse planet. Terraforming begins.
1ne PE
- Through the dess, the SDO manages to reach an ancient signal within VS Leo Albus. They reach the star system Pnoa and have a first contact with gorms.
27b PE
- The urms become the second ever extraterrestrial species to be contacted, causing initial panic for the much less technologically advanced inhabitants of Kanno.
27g PE
- The zhebenki are contacted and, for the first time, they are technologically advanced enough to provide information and support to the SDO.

|
Stable Noŋŋo eon
2b6 PE
- Noŋŋo is deemed stable enough for a reconstructed Earth FUCA to be introduced. Years later it would be discovered that a contaminant from the Dess entered the planet as well. These would become erdylls.
3gN PE
- The amono, a highly technologically advanced species, contact the SDO themselves after confusion with radio wave signal interference.
52bon PE
- A computer virus affecting several servers at the SDO turns out to be a first contact from an abstracted sophont species, the nene.
