Arcus basin

The Arcus lacustrine basin or simply the Arcus basin is the region including and surrounding the Arcus Lake, a large body of water found at the very centre of Anidon. The land immediately surrounding the lake is flat and riverine, with the side facing the Rumpapian Mountains in the west being more arid, and the eastern land being more humid.

The arid western side of the Arcus basin houses such clades as Hyenidae (among which brown hyenas and striped hyenas), canids such as the desert wolf, various species of wild guineafowl, etc.
