The Federation of the Red Isles (Tael: Jii Rönwen Kwin'nan), known colloquially as Tael, is an insular federative state in southeastern Luhan and a major maritime power of the southern hemisphere.
Political model
Tael is frequently brought up in academic conversations regarding its blend of political models. Originally a patrimonialist state, with an emperor holding total power, Tael entered a period of great political reform during the 17th century. This period saw the birth of a long and still enduring experiment attempting to mix its long-standing patrimonial traditions with the newly introduced concept of the federation as defined by Anidonian political theory.
