Elm is the fifth and middle of three life-harbouring planets in orbit around star Nausicaä, the other two being the fourth planet Julee and sixth planet Torch. It is home to a large array of carbon-based organisms. Most notable of these are the elmians, the only species capable of achieving sophonce on the planet.
Name
Elm as a name is derived from Áonak Élmí, the common name for the planet.
