Badalamenti is the second planet from star ε Leo Albus, located within VS Leo Albus. It was discovered and subsequently colonised by the SDO in 16n PE, having been captivated by its thin rings and (at the time) HI2 class. It is nowadays home to a large population of both juleans and elmians. These, after billions of years of constant habitation, have diverged into their own subspecies, but have remained within their respective gene pools through interplanetary immigration and tourism programs. There's minorities of all other known sophont species, although some have adapted better than others.

Name

The planet is named after Earth musician Angelo Badalamenti, who composed for David Lynch and whose work featured in Twin Peaks, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, among others. It is often shortened, by natives, to Badala or Padala.
